Summary

“S.KT. Music” is a project and moniker representing S.KT.’s life work, through which he transforms personal life experiences and reflections into released music.

The background of each track is directly linked to S.KT.’s philosophy and life journey; the aim is to share the thoughts and feelings he experiences day-to-day through these releases.

Under this moniker, releases are categorized into “Phase,” representing broad thematic directions aligned with the timing of each release.

He also engages in artistic expression using various characters. While multiple aliases may appear to exist, they all represent the same individual—a fact evident from how they are consolidated under the name “S.KT.” on streaming services.

Amidst a relaxed, self-paced schedule of posting music, several tracks have been released digitally:

• October 3, 2023: Union – 1st vocal album featuring voice synthesis software
• December 1, 2023: Road Of Water – 1st concept album
• November 9, 2024: Audience – 2nd vocal album featuring voice synthesis software

Expression

I value expressing my personal feelings in my own unique way, and I work on illustrations and videos alongside my music. I tend to actively embrace new forms of expression—musical or otherwise.

Because I explore a wide range of things rather than diving deep into just one, my strengths and weaknesses are quite distinct.

• My strength is that I don’t shy away from trying out various musical genres.
• My weakness is that I tend to release tracks before I’ve fully mastered the skills required for them…

Currently, I focus on Vocaloid and instrumental music, but I’m certainly open to other styles as well.

I love singing. I used to say, “I might start singing as a vocalist named ‘DonKei’ soon…” and I actually did start singing under the name S/KT. I do sing as S.KT. as well, though…

Right now, my approach is mostly just for my own satisfaction. But… I plan to do this properly (in a vague sort of way).

Phase Theme

S.KT. Music employs the concept of “Phase.”

These represent broad thematic groupings aligned with the timing of music releases; marking these periodic intervals—typically every ten songs or so, coinciding with an album release—also serves to reset the project’s overall worldview. While each Phase is built around a theme reflecting a specific life stage—which subtly influences the direction of the music—these themes are not strictly defined.

Major Works

While my artistic style plays a role, I also compile sketches of lyrics based on events I have experienced—whether directly or indirectly—in society; I often use these as a foundation to write songs about people struggling amidst a sense of aimless anxiety. The tracks released under the name S.KT. Music, in particular, are a reflection of life itself.
