Phase Theme

S.KT. Music,” S.KT.’s life’s work, is organized into “Phase,” with each phase representing a theme corresponding to its period of release. While these phases define the general creative direction for the albums, the music is not strictly bound by them; fundamentally, each track possesses its own independent background.

The project is currently in Phase 3: Schola.

Phase 3, “Schola,” centers on the theme of learning. It aims to foster a proactive approach to creating sound, driven by an insatiable curiosity to explore unprecedented methods, genres, and sonic possibilities. Participants can expect to delve into music from the past as well as the contemporary scene (to the extent possible).
Let’s learn, let’s play, and let’s enjoy.

Phase 2: Audience

Phase 2, “Audience,” focuses on the listener. It is designed to encourage reflection on what I—as the one conveying the message—wish to communicate, as well as what the audience is seeking.
The theme “Myself and the Listener” embodies the aspiration to create music that allows everyone to shine.

Phase 1: Union

I chose the title “Union” casually, intending it to signify a gathering of various songs; however, its meaning evolved as I continued to upload tracks and engage in various interactions.
In addition to songs featuring vocal synthesizers like Chis-A and Megurine Luka, I also uploaded tracks using my own custom UTAU voicebank, “Sekkita.” While this phase was characterized largely by pop-style melodies, the lyrics—often expressing negative emotions and inner turmoil—offered a glimpse into the struggles I was facing at the time.
I explored various approaches beyond just uploading songs, but ultimately settled on a policy of working steadily without worrying about deadlines. I also decided to structure my work into distinct phases—Part 1, Part 2, and so on—marking this point as a clear transition.

In fact, the initial concept involved a strict rule of categorizing tracks into “Vocal” and “Inst” (instrumental) types, with the stipulation that instrumental tracks would not be included in the “Phase” category… While it is unclear how things might change in the future, for the time being, all “Phase” tracks are vocal songs.
